Multiple juveniles were caught by law enforcement, fleeing from a stolen vehicle.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on May 25 at around 5:40 am, a 37-year-old male reported his silver 2024 Chevy Trailblazer was stolen in central Salina.
Ten minutes later, an officer observed the vehicle in the area of 9th and Schilling. The vehicle pulled into Casey’s on Schilling when multiple juveniles fled from the area.
A 17-year-old male however, stayed inside the vehicle.
When officers began searching the area for the other juveniles, they observed another vehicle then pull into the area when they found a one juvenile run towards it.
The vehicle was stopped by officers and found several juveniles inside.
A 16-year-old male of Salina was determined to be operating the initial reported stolen vehicle and was charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Driving Without a License, Felony Interference and Kidnapping.
It was determined one of the juveniles wanted out of the stolen vehicle, when officers first observed them and the 16-year old allegedly refused.
A 14-year-old and 17-year-old were charged with Interference when they fled from the stolen vehicle.
