MANHATTAN, Kansas â€“ K-State women’s basketball will send four players to the 2026 USA Basketball 3X Women’s Showcase on May 9-10. The games will be played at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Arizona. Admission is free and open to the public.

The four Wildcats taking part in the 3X Women’s Showcase are senior Taryn Sides, juniors Mikayla Parks and Ramiya White and sophomore Brandie Harrod. The 3X Showcase, as well as the USA Basketball 3x3 development camp will serve as an evaluation for selection to future USA Basketball 3x3 national teams and other opportunities.

Different than 5-on-5, 3x3 is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game clock and 12-second shot clock. Play is continuous, as teams “clear” the ball behind the 2-point line following a made basket, defensive rebound or steal. The first team to score 21 points via 1-point field goals or 2-pointers behind the arc is victorious; or if time expires then the team leading wins.

K-State will play three games in the preliminary round on May 9. The Wildcats will face Phoenix at 5 p.m. (CT), Stephen F. Austin at 6:40 p.m. (CT) and Fairfield at 8:30 p.m. (CT). Other teams expected to compete are: Arizona State, South Dakota State and two teams which are part of the USA Basketball 3x3 development camp.

Sides, a product of Phillipsburg, Kansas, paced K-State in scoring during the 2025-26 season at a career-best 12.4 points per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, including 38.9 percent from 3-point range, and 84.6 percent from the foul line. She ranked 10th in school history for free throw percentage in a season. She was second on the team and 13th in the Big 12 in assists per game at 3.7. She led the Wildcats and was sixth in the Big 12 for 3-point field goals made per game at 2.22.

She established career season-highs for points (460) and assists (137). Her 137 assists are eighth in program history for a junior season. Sides joined Kindred Wesemann (2015-16) as the only two players in a junior season to register 100 or more assists and 80 or more 3-point field goals made. She was the ninth player in program history to register 400 or more points, 100 or more rebounds and 100 or more assists.

Parks, a guard from Norman, Oklahoma, saw action in seven games in 2025-26 after missing the 2024-25 season due to injury. She averaged 0.7 points and 0.4 rebounds.

White, a center from Louisville, Kentucky, registered action in 28 games with four starts in her first season in Manhattan. She carded 1.7 points on a 51.5 field goal percentage and 1.9 rebounds.

Harrod, a guard from Oklahoma City, played in all 37 games with 33 starts in her freshman season in 2025-26. She tallied 6.1 points on a 43.1 field goal percentage, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals. Harrod led the Wildcats in rebounding in 14 games and tallied seven games with 10 or more points.
