Matthew William Jones, Sr., 80, of Salina, Kan., passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022. He was born on December 21, 1942, in New Haven, Conn., to Matthew and Betsy (Kunza) Jones.
Survivors include his children Maggy Ward, Matt Jones, James Jones, Doreen Jones, and Timothy Jones; eight grandchildren, including Elizabeth-Ali M. Shade, Cashé E. Arnold, and Garrett N. Ward; eight great-grandchildren; and sister Betty Pergolotti.
He is preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children, Elizabeth Mary Doebeli; and sister Anna Wideman.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Cross Roads Church, 1125 W. South St, Salina, KS.
