Spencer graduated from Moundridge High School with the class of 2008, attended Salina Automotive Vo-Tech, and worked part-time at Moridge Manufacturing in the fabrication department. He always liked working with steel.
At an early age, he learned to handle equipment and enjoyed working on the farm with his dad. Currently, he was looking forward to a product demonstration position with the Grasshopper Company.
Spencer endured life’s challenges and medical setbacks, loved his family dearly, and was famous for his bear hugs. He loved skiing the Blacks with his sister Dixie and her family. The holidays were a great time with his nieces, sharing good dog and cat stories with each other. He was very proud to be Bridgette and Zoe’s uncle.
Spencer was very patriotic, loved his country, and had great political discussions with cousin Roger. Sister Susan, was a nurturer to Spencer. When Spencer was a small boy helping Susan pull weeds, he asked, “Who in the world plants weeds?”
He loved music, nature, beautiful Kansas sunsets, the outdoors, 4-wheeling on family ranch land, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
