ASSARIA - Salina Family Healthcare Center personnel will be in Assaria later today to administer COVID-19 vaccinations and flu vaccinations.

The vaccination clinic is scheduled for 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday in Assaria Lutheran Church, 124 W. First Street. Please enter through the east church door.

Persons being vaccinated will be able to get both COVID-19 and flu vaccinations at the same time, Salina Family Healthcare noted in a news release.

About the COVID-19 vaccinations

First, second, and booster doses are available.

The Pfizer vaccine is available for ages six and older, while the Moderna and J&J vaccines are available for adults.

Persons who already have received at least one dose are asked to bring their vaccine cards with them.

"COVID-19 Vaccines continue to be provided at no cost to you. However, providing your insurance card for these vaccines helps cover costs of supplies and staffing to administer vaccines," Salina Family Healthcare noted.

About the flu vaccination

Flu vaccinations are available for ages six and older.

According to Salina Family Healthcare, flu vaccines are generally covered by insurance. Persons wanting flu vaccinations must have their insurance cards with them or pay $40 to get the flu vaccine.
