Law enforcement in Saline County has announced they will host the Fall Basic Citizens Academy, designed to acquaint the public with law enforcement's practices and services.
Both the Saline County Sheriff's Office and the Salina Police Department will be hosting the Fall Basic Citizens Academy starting Wednesday, September 2 - Tuesday, November 10.
This program is informative, helping citizens get acquainted with practices and services, and acquaint officers with concerns and perceptions of the community.
The mission of the Citizen's Academy is to build a better understanding between citizens and law enforcement through education and positive interaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Live or work in Saline County, Kansas.
- No felony convictions.
- No misdemeanor arrest within one year of application

- Use of Force Simulator.
- Scenario-Based Activites.
