LINDSBORG – Artists and collectors are invited to exhibit handcrafted Christmas décor, nativities, ornaments, or other holiday items in the 2021 Handcrafted Holiday Exhibition hosted by Smoky Valley Arts & Folklife Center (SVAFC).

SVAFC hopes to extend the popular “Lindsborg Collects” exhibit, hosted in the spring, with its upcoming exhibit that will feature holiday art and crafts. Whether it’s a hand-sculpted nativity, tin star ornaments, wood nativity puzzles, or a winter scene painting, SVAFC wants to share a Smoky Valley Christmas with its visitors.

Entries may be submitted by Smoky Valley area artists or collectors and will be on display from Nov. 5 through Dec. 23. Smoky Valley area is defined for this exhibition as within the USD 400 boundaries. A limit of two works per artist or collector is recommended, and collectors are encouraged to share a story about why the item is special to them.

Art can be delivered to SVAFC, at 105 N. Main Street, through Nov. 3 on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday from 1-5 p.m. If an item is not for sale, please indicate NFS on the entry form. SVAFC will retain a 25% commission from exhibit sales. Entry forms can be obtained at SVAFC or by emailing, [email protected]. More information is online at smokyvalleyartsandfolklifecenter.org.
