UPDATE 4:14 p.m. Monday:

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a significant weather advisory in effect until 5:15 p.m. that includes the following counties in our area.

Ellsworth County

Northern McPherson County

Lincoln County

Saline County

At 4:09 p.m. CDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking clusters of strong thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall across portions of Lincoln, Saline, Ellsworth and northern McPherson counties. These storms were moving very slowly or were nearly stationary.

The storms will produce localized very heavy rainfall rates and wind gusts up to 50 mph. Pea sized hail is also possible.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a significant weather advisory in effect until 4:15 p.m. Monday for the following counties in our area.

Northwestern McPherson County

Saline County

At 3:17 p.m. CDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall over southwestern Saline County. The storms were moving slowly north at 5 mph.

These storms will produce localized very heavy rainfall rates and wind gusts up to 45 mph.

Be prepared to take shelter in the event the storms intensify and become severe or a warning is issued by the National Weather Service.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
