Sometime over the weekend, four stop signs were stolen along Kansas Highway 140 (K-140) west of Salina.

Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander said this morning that the stop signs were stolen Saturday or Sunday from the K-140 intersections with W. Crawford Street, S. Hohneck Road, S. Link Road, and W. Schilling Road.

The signs, property of the Kansas Department of Transportation, were valued at $100 each, he said.

Additionally, $25 worth of damage was done to one of the sign posts.
