Shirley Heald, 90, Bethany Village, Lindsborg, KS passed away peacefully in her room at Bethany Village on August 15, 2025. Shirley Anne (Marrs) Heald was born to Clive and Lola (Moses) Marrs in Dickenson County, Kansas on January 5, 1935.
Shirley graduated from Longford High School in 1953 and later that year she married R. Bruce Heald, and the couple had six children before ending their marriage. Shirley and the children moved to Bennington, KS, where she lived until moving to Bethany Village in 2019.
She is survived by sisters ErmaGene and Marilyn; brother Leon; daughter Carol; sons Kenton (Catherine), Edward (Sheryl), Scott (Tina), and Brad (Christi); nine grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Clive and Lola Marrs; brother Leslie Marrs; and son Alan.
Graveside services were in the Bennington Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the United Church of Bennington.
