Eleanor H. Bachand passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, May 03, 2025, at Park Villa Nursing Home in Clyde, Kansas. She was born on May 31, 1927, in Tipton, Kansas to Frank Richard and Rose DeLima (Brummer) Boden. Eleanor attended Iwacura School, Clay County, Kansas up until the 8th grade. She married Raymond Bachand on April 21, 1947.
Eleanor worked as a salesclerk at Dreiling's Dept. Store in Concordia, Kansas. Eleanor was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 50-year member of Catholic Daughters of America, and Women of the Moose. In addition to her great love of family, Eleanor enjoyed playing cards, dancing, and gardening.
Eleanor is survived by her four children Lonnie Bachand, Concordia, Kansas, Gary Bachand (Debbie), Clyde, Kansas, James Bachand (Alice) Clyde, Kansas, and Daughter Joan Wiesner (Jerry), Concordia, Kansas, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Raymond Bachand, her parents, Frank Richard and Rose DeLima (Brummer) Boden, sisters Barbara Hubert, Delores Lespereance, brother Andrew Boden, and daughter-in-law Virginia (Jean) Bachand.
The visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 9th, 2025 at Chaput Mortuary in Clyde. A Rosary Vigil Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday, May 9th, 2025, at Chaput Mortuary, led by Fr. Steven Heina. Family will greet friends after the Rosary Vigil Service at Chaput Mortuary, Clyde, Kansas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 :00 a.m., Saturday, May 10th, 2025, at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas with Fr. Steven Heina officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Joe Catholic Cemetery, St. Joe, Kansas.
