Alcohol plays a factor in the arrest of a Salina man, for a reported act of domestic violence.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on April 24 at around 8:00 am, officers were dispatched to a belated domestic disturbance at a east Salina residence.
Reportedly, a 53-year-old woman stated about getting into an argument with another resident, identified as 44-year-old, Curtis Riggle.
The victim reported during the argument several hours earlier, Riggle grabbed her by the throat and applied pressure, according to SPD. The victim had minor injuries.
Riggle was located about an hour later and taken into custody.
He was booked into the Saline County Jail with the requested charge of Aggravated Domestic Battery.
Alcohol was a factor, according to SPD.
