Officers responded Tuesday night to a report of shots fired in a southwest Salina neighborhood.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Meadowlark Lane at 10:20 p.m. after gunshots were reported. Witnesses told the officers that they had heard five gunshots in the area. Officers found five spent shell casings in the roadway, however, no damage or victims were located, he explained.
Witnesses reported seeing a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup with tinted windows driving southbound, and a tan Nissan Pathfinder driving in the area.
