ABILENE – Dava M. Walker, 64, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022. She was born in Sterling, KS to David and Edna (Harris) Boock.
Dava graduated from Kansas State University and was a lifelong Wildcat fan. She taught preschool special education for many years and dearly loved her students.
Dava enjoyed listening to music but also had a talent for writing original songs. When traveling she always had time to stop at a casino and try her luck on the slots. Dava was proud of her family’s Native American and farming heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Dava is survived by her husband Ronnie Walker; dog Buddy; and many loving relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Inurnment will be in Sterling Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2022.
