Quatama Massaquoi's 87th minute goal was the difference maker as the Kansas Wesleyan Men's soccer team defeated Central Christian 2-1 on Wednesday at JRI Stadium.

Massaquoi, who played football for the Coyotes the last two seasons, headed the ball home after a delivery of a pass from Skyler Denny on a set piece following a foul by the Tigers.

It was the Coyotes to tally first in the 41st minute as Emilio Rodriguez sent one home off a pass by Juan Manuel Lozada Leon.

Wesleyan would hold the lead until the 62nd minute when Sidney Tippner scored to equalize.

KWU outshot CCC 9-3 in the match, with six shots on frame. Seth Flores had three shots to lead the Coyotes. Shae Wirt got the win in goal for the Coyotes with one save.
