Diana "Dee" J. Setters

Diana “Dee” J. Setters, 82, of Ottawa, KS, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Rock Creek in Ottawa, KS. She was born December 29, 1940, in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Everett Lindsey and Leona (Rader) Lindsey. Dee enjoyed spending summers with family at Kremmling, CO. She graduated from East High School in Kanas City, MO with the Class of 1958. In 1962, she graduated from Miltonvale Community College in Miltonvale, KS. In 1964, she graduated with a degree in Education from Fort Hays State University in Hay, KS, where she met her husband, Tommy.
She was united in marriage to Tommy B. Setters on August 26, 1963. They shared over fifty-four years of marriage and were blessed with one child, Aaron.
Dee began work as a teacher. She later worked at King Radio, Honeywell in Ottawa, Lawrence and Olathe, KS after thirty-eight years, retiring in 2002. After her retirement, she worked as a caregiver in homecare.
She and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially with the grandchildren. She enjoyed watching football games and westerns on television and was an avid Sam Elliott fan. Dee also enjoyed crafts and was very organized.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Leona Lindsey; husband, Tommy Setters; and a brother-in-law, John Setters.
Surviving family includes her son, Aaron Setters and wife, Julie of Ottawa, KS; two grandchildren, Gabriel and Lillith; a sister-in-law and life-long friend, Linda Setters of Munford, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
