Robert James Rolus-Hermosillo, 37, passed away on December 16, 2022, in Olathe, KS.

Robert was born on July 10, 1985, in Sayre, Oklahoma, the son of Jesse Hermosillo and Kimberly (Rolus) Jimenez. 

He attended school in McPherson, KS.

On February 27, 2022, he married Katie Francis in Olathe, KS.  With this marriage, Robert gained three kids, Brooklynn, Brody, and Cole.  Together, they mourned the loss of their son, Mikel, at only 17 weeks gestation.

Robert was full of life.  His smile and laugh just showed you all the love he had for life.  His love for art kept him busy with body art as well as drawing.  He had a big heart for all creatures.  He would never kill a spider and would say, “It’s trying to survive.” No matter where he was, music was his way though life.  It calmed his soul.

He is survived by his wife Katie; children Aria Janusz, Jarrett Baxa, Brooklynn Lawson, Brody Lawson, and Cole Lawson; his amazing grandma and step-grandpa Maria and Emilio Ontiveros, whom he loved so much; his dad Jesse Hermosillo; many cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family.

He is preceded in death by his grandpa Geno Hermosillo; aunts Mary (Hermosillo) Langfitt, Carmen (Hermosillo) Heckard, and Robin Clausen; and cousin Dylan Clausen.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2023, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson.  The final resting place will be in Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.
