The Southeast of Saline Trojans got back on track tonight with a 64-57 win over the Chapman Fighting Irish.
With this win SES moves to 8-6 on the year while Chapman falls to 3-7.
Turnovers played a huge role in this game as the Trojans were able to force Chapman into 24 including a staggering 15 in the second half.
“They’re really well coached and they play really hard,” SES head coach Bryson Flax said. “There were some guys that hit shots for them that weren’t as explosive on film but we were able to close it out.”
SES was led by a new career high for Camden Spano-Lund who dropped 22 in the winning effort.
The Trojans also got double digit scoring efforts from Eli Sawyers, Jaxson Gebhardt and Bryant Banks, whose energy did not go unnoticed.
“Bryant was really good tonight,” Flax said. “He missed a lot of shots early that we have to count on him making but he banged when he had to bang and passed the ball really well. His energy was great and we have to have that every game.”
Chapman got 17 points from Eli Riegel and 15 from Cam Liebau in the loss.
Southeast of Saline will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the 4-7 Beloit Trojans, a team they beat 68-31 earlier this season.
