A local man's stop at a north Salina bar proved costly when he left his pickup running in the parking lot.
Jacob Cunningham, 28, of Salina, told police that he decided to stop at Chuck's Bar, 600 N. Santa Fe Avenue, at approximately 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. He left his black 1999 Chevrolet Silverado running in the parking lot, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.
When Cunningham left the bar, he found that the pickup had been stolen.
The pickup, valued at $2,000, had a Kansas license plate of 675PNT, Forrester said.
Additionally, a Samsung cellphone valued at $200 that was in the pickup also was stolen.
