Ernest “Ernie” Eugene Cole, 85, of Salina, passed away, Tuesday, June 22, 2021. He was born Sept. 25, 1935, in Salina.
Ernie worked as a custodian for USD 305 for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest H. and Cora A. Cole; sisters Darlene Woods, Betty Rice; and second wife Shirley D. Cole in 2016.
Survivors include his wife Esther Cole; two sons, Dean Cole (Marrisa), Mike (Susan) Brummett; 37 grandchildren; 24 great- grandchildren; and sisters Helen Sims, Cora Short.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2021 with the family present from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. with service following at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford, Salina.
