The Saline County Sheriff's Office continued its Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday allowing anyone to drop off unused prescriptions.
The two locations include Dillons at 1235 E. Cloud Street and Walmart at 2900 S. Ninth Street. In total 184.2 pounds of prescription drugs was collected, with 143 pounds at Dillons and 41.2 pounds at Walmart.
According to Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Sean Kochanowski, contents in the drop-off event are disposed of in a buried location in Salina's landfill.
Since Kochanowski took over the operation in October 2013, they have collected a total of 15,000+ pounds of drugs.
