Sheryl Ann Hoffman, 75, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 25, 2022, surrounded by family at McPherson Hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper/secretary for Hassman Oil Co. in McPherson.
Sheryl was born on August 24, 1947, in West Point, NE, the daughter of Robert Edward and Annie Mae (Roberts) Fenske.
She graduated from West Point High School.
In 1968, Sheryl was united in marriage to William “Bill” Tietz. He died in February 1969. She married Joe Hoffman in November 1970.
Survivors include two daughters, Jamie Hoffman of McPherson, KS and Jessica Behrens (James) of McPherson, KS; siblings Lonnie Fenske of Phoenix, AZ and Robert Fenske (Mary Kay) of Omaha, NE; eight grandchildren, Dezirae Brinck (Jessie), Sierra Behrens, Hayleigh Gagnebin (Jordan), Slade Wiley, Ethan Behrens, Zachary Hoffman, Ava Wilson, and Paityn Behrens; five great-grandchildren, Brookelyn, Weston, Emersyn, Dakota, and Abigail; four nieces and nephews, Chad Fenske, Mike Fenske, Lori Mersch, and Lisa Sullivan; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill Tietz; and longtime companion Robert Neufeldt.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 1, at the First Christian Church with Pastor Lynn Scott officiating. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
