Violent argument results in a man's arrest and being accused of assault charges.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Friday, July 25th an argument occurred between a man and a woman at a home in the 2400 block of Simmons. Allegedly, a man identified as 30-year old Dimitrios Laskou and a 26-year old woman were arguing over 'certain living arrangements.' As the argument boiled, Laskou reportedly 'put his hands around the neck' of the woman and 'impeded her breathing.'

The woman was able to call SPD about the incident and when officers arrived, they found both Laskou and the woman inside the home. Officers arrested Laskou without incident and booked him into the Saline County Jail on the following requested charges:

Aggravated Battery, Domestic Battery and Violation of a Protection Order.

SPD stated the victim received 'minor marks to her neck' and did not need any medical attention.
