NEW ORLEANS, La. - With one week remaining before the 2022 NJCAA Region VI Cross Country Championships, the Cloud County Community College women's and men's cross country teams once again find themselves ranked inside the latest rendition of the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association NJCAA Division I Top-25 Polls released on Wednesday.

Highlighting the rankings for CCCC is the T-Bird women who were one of four teams to make a three-spot jump in the polls as Cloud County moves up from eighth to fifth following last week's win at the Ollie Isom Invitational. In the men's top-25 poll, CCCC is ranked 17th after being ranked 15th in the week two poll that was released on Oct. 5.

In the women's poll, only one team in the top 10 of the previous poll is still ranked in the same position as the College of Southern Idaho continues to hold down the top spot in what is otherwise a revamped top 10. New Mexico Junior College is ranked second just ahead of Hutchinson Community College which comes in at number three while just ahead of Cloud County is Salt Lake Community College in fourth. Other Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools ranked in this week's top-25 poll include ninth-ranked Butler and 11th-ranked Dodge City as well as Garden City (13th), Fort Scott (16th), and Neosho (18th). The seven ranked schools from Region VI are the most among any region with teams ranked inside the latest top-25 poll.

As for the men's top-25 poll, an unchanged top three in the poll sees Colby, Iowa Central, and New Mexico Junior College remain unchanged as the top schools in the country while El Paso Community College and Northwest Kansas Tech both move up one spot to fourth and fourth, respectively. Butler is the next highest-ranked team from the KJCCC in 11th and is followed by Cloud County in 17th, Hutchinson in 18th, Garden City in 20th, and Neosho in 23rd. The seven ranked teams on the men's side from Region VI is also the most of any region represented in this week's poll.
