July 4, 1936 ~ May 23, 2022 (age 85)

Barbara Carol (Milner) Lewellyn, 85, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 23, 2022, at the Belleville Health Care Center in Belleville, Kansas. She was born July 4, 1936, to Archie and Anona (Owens) Milner.  She was the seventh of nine children and was the last surviving of her siblings.

She was united in marriage to Donald J. Lewellyn on November 13, 1954.  Out of this union, eight children were born.

Barbara loved football, NASCAR, and baseball. One of her biggest highlights was going to a Dallas Cowboys game. The other was watching her grandson Tyler on the track and she was one of this biggest fans.  Barbara was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years, and an Avon representative for 30+ years.  She loved talking to people, going to social events, traveling, and whenever there was a bingo game, she was there.

Barbara is survived by her children Deb Lewellyn of Belleville; Randy Lewellyn (Ann) of Belleville; Dan Lewellyn (Dawn) of Boulder, Colorado; Curtis Lewellyn of Kansas City, Kansas; Tammy Frye (Marty) of Belleville; Tim Lewellyn (Darlene) of Lamar, Colorado; and Tracy Lewellyn (Tara) of Omaha, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Cory, her loving husband of 62 years, Donald; siblings Beth, Gene, Shirley, Dale, Betty, Joy, Jack, and Pam; nephew, Darwin Kasl; and grandson B.J. Webb.

Barbara loved having the house full of family and friends, the more the merrier. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date; details to be announced.

Memorials are requested to the family’s choice, and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
