Rainfall will become widespread across south-central and southeast Kansas later today and tonight, before diminishing and ending on Thursday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected with the higher amounts most likely closer to the Oklahoma border. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms today and tonight as well.
The heavy rainfall may result in minor lowland flooding and possibly minor river flooding by Thursday.
