A building along with farming equipment was destroyed by a fire, valuing over $50,000 in rural Saline County.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on the morning hours of Tuesday, August 19 a metal building was reportedly on fire at&nbsp;6304 W. Thorstenberg Rd.

The fire destroyed 150 large round hay bales, unknown year/model&nbsp;Massey Ferguson swather and the building itself.&nbsp;

Saline County Rural Fire Districts 2, 6 and McPherson County Rural Fire District 8 all responded and extinguished the fire.

Sheriff's Office believes the cause of the fire was suspected to be wet hays bales that spontaneously combusted.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Loss of value was determined to be over $52,000.
