McPherson County reports 4 new cases of COVID-19; 175 of 194 recovered

MCPHERSON -- The McPherson County Health Department today reported four new confirmed cases of COVID-19 from Wednesday and today. Those cases bring the county total 194.

According to information from the health department, the following cases were identified.

Wednesday

●Positive case No. 191 is a symptomatic 18-year-old female with unknown exposure and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 192 is an asymptomatic female in her 20s with unknown exposure and is isolating at home.

Thursday

●Positive case No. 193 is a symptomatic male in his 20s with unknown exposure and is recovering at home.

●Positive case No. 194 is an asymptomatic male in his 20s with travel exposure and is isolating at home (family of No. 190).

Of the 194 total cases, 175 have met Kansas Department of Health and Environment recovery guidelines, according to the health department. Two of the active cases are hospitalized, and one person has died, the health department noted.
