Durham - Ronald E. Unruh, 87, died April 12, 2021 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born November 13, 1933 to Wesley and Ellen (Pankratz) Unruh northwest of Durham on the family farm. He married Dora Duerksen June 1, 1955 at Alexanderwohl Church, rural Goessel.
Survivors include wife Dora Unruh of rural Durham; sons Mark (Barbara) Unruh of rural Durham, Warren (Anita) Unruh of rural Tampa; daughters Brenda (Jim) Enns of rural Hillsboro, Deb (Lon ) Hiebert of rural Peabody; sister-in-law, Shirley Unruh of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Junior Unruh in 2009, Arvid Unruh in 2006 and sister-in-law, Julie Unruh in 2019.
Celebration of life service 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Durham Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Brad Penn. Interment 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Durham Park cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
