Police: Suspect threatened victim with a knife

SALINE COUNTY—A suspect is in custody in Salina for allegedly threatening a man with a knife.

Just after midnight Thursday, police responded to a residence in the 400 block of N. 5th in Salina in reference a disturbance, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.

A 55-year-old man reported a known associate, identified as 37-year-old Levi Sanderson was acting irrationally possibly to being under the influence of an unknown substance, and became upset at the 55-year-old man.

Sanderson then began waving a knife aggressively at the other man before fleeing the area. Officers checked the area but did not locate Sanderson. At approximately 1:00 PM, officers observed Sanderson back in the 400 block of N. 5th and took him into custody without incident

. He was booked into the Saline County Jail on a requested charge of Aggravated Assault.
