Police are investigating the theft of a flatbed pickup from a central Salina residence.
An 83-year-old Salina resident reported to police that a white 1994 Chevrolet flatbed dually pickup was stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 500 block of West Beloit Avenue sometime between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7:45 a.m. Thursday, according to Salina Police Lieutenant James Feldman. There was a white eight-foot tool box and chain hoist on the nine-foot black flatbed. The vehicle had a Kansas license plate.
Total loss was estimated at $2,500, Feldman noted.
