Salina Symphony to present Virtual Chamber Concert

The fourth Salina Symphony Virtual Chamber Concert will feature the Salina Symphony Horn Quartet and Cello/Piano Duo.

The Salina Symphony will present a Virtual Chamber Concert on Jan. 24 at 4 p.m.  The concert will be premiered and available for viewing on Facebook at no cost.

The horn quartet program will include several of Lowell Shaw’s “Fripperies,” Mozart’s “Overture to The Magic Flute” arranged by Dutschke and Lockwood, and “Theme and Variations from The Emperor Quartet” by Haydn, arranged by Lowell Shaw. The cello/piano duo will present “Sonata No. 3 in G Minor (originally for viola da gamba)” by J.S. Bach and “Divertimento” by Haydn.

Horn Quartet members include Taylor Ensminger, Kyle Hopkins, Karyn Schafer and Sharyn Worcester. The Cello/Piano Duo features Dr. David Littrell, cello, and Amanda Arrington, piano.
