SALINE COUNTY—A suspect is in custody after a parking lot altercation in Salina.
Just after 2:30a.m. Friday, police responded to report of a fight in the parking lot at Kwik Shop, 1727 W. Crawford, in Salina, according to Salina Police Captain James Feldman.
Officers made contact a 46-year-old man. He reported seeing a known subject, identified as 33-year-old Carlos Valenzuela , who he has had issues with previously.
The two exchanged words and then began swinging at each other. Valenzuela had wire cutters in his hand when he struck the other man causing small lacerations to the subject’s arms and chest. Medics responded and the subject refused treatment. Valenzuela was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges Aggravated Battery.
