Both personal and work tools were reported stolen over the weekend from a pickup belonging to a local plumbing company.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning that sometime between Saturday and Monday, someone pried open a latch on a toolbox on a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup belonging to Summit Plumbing while the pickup was parked at an employee's residence in the 500 block of Sunset Drive. Damage to the latch was estimated at $140, Forrester noted.

Most of the tools taken, both those belonging to the employee and those owned by Summit Plumbing were Milwaukee power tools, according to Forrester.

Total loss and damage was estimated at $2,940, he added.
