TOPEKA – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s (KDHE) Bureau of Waste Management has announced the recipients of solid waste reduction grants.
These annual solid waste grants are awarded to cities, counties and private entities across the state. The grants total nearly $450,800 for 2022 and incorporate recycling, source reduction, waste minimization and public education.
This year’s 29 grants aware awarded to 24 organizations and range from $2,050 to $73,653. The grants are funded through a $1/ton waste disposal fee. The grantees are listed below.
