Frost advisories issued for parts of northern Kansas

Frost advisories have been issued for some of the northern counties in our area.

The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a frost advisory in effect from 1-10 a.m. Friday for the following counties in our area.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Temperatures as low as 32 to 36 degrees will likely promote the development of frost across much of the area.

Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a frost advisory in effect from 3-9 a.m. for the following counties in our area.

Cloud County

Republic County

Temperatures falling into the middle 30s will combine with light winds and clear skies to allow frost to form.
