OTTAWA COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just before 8 a.m. Wednesday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford Focus driven by Nancy K. Gisi, 56, Miltonvale, was westbound on Sunset Road at U.S. 81.
The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic. A northbound 2004 Chevy Suburban driven by Curtis J. Bethea II, 35, Newton, struck the Ford.
Both vehicles came to rest in the northbound passing lane of U.S. 81.
EMS transported Gisi, Bethea and a passenger in the Ford, Jennifer L. Gavin, 30, Miltonvale, to Salina Regional Health Center. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
