A Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested on multiple requested charges late Thursday night after he led a Saline County Sheriff's deputy on a short chase through part of North Salina.
Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander said this morning that a deputy noticed a 2005 Dodge Stratus with defective tail lights in the 100 block of West Antrim Avenue at 11:11 p.m. Thursday. When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it took off, traveling at times at 45-50 mph through part of north Salina, Melander said.
After a short pursuit, the vehicle finally stopped in the 100 block of West Hamilton Avenue, and the driver, Adrian Richardson, 27, of Kansas City, Kan., was arrested on the following requested charges, Melander said.
Felony flee and elude
Transporting an open container
No proof of insurance
Possession of marijuana
Possession of methamphetamine
Two passengers in the vehicle were not arrested, he said.
