Everything and everybody needs water, from wheat fields to the rolling hills and all the animals that swim, fly, walk, crawl or burrow. Water is the key. In this presentation, Rex Buchanan will examine water’s role in Kansas history. He’ll also share how water impacts today’s economy and environment, and discuss the state’s water-related issues.

Buchanan is director emeritus of the Kansas Geological Survey, an editor, author, and presenter.
