Police: Salina man accused for assaulting female acquaintance

A man is accused for assaulting a female acquaintance in a Salina home.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on April 19 just after 7:00 pm, officers were dispatched to a home in north Salina for the report of a domestic disturbance.

Reportedly a 39-year old female who does not live at the home, but stays there occasionally told SPD that when she arrived, Christopher Hamilton (39) allegedly opened the front door, pushed her and dragged her inside the residence.

The victim ran to a bathroom to get away from Hamilton, but he grabbed her by the hair and slammed her to the ground.

Moreover, the victim told SPD she was choked by Hamilton after she was thrown to the ground.

The victim sustained had minor injuries, and SPD did not determine whether she received medical treatment or not.

Officers arrested Hamilton on the scene and booked him into the Saline County Jail for requested charges of Aggravated Domestic Battery, Kidnapping and Criminal Damage to Property.
