Trailer stolen in Solomon recovered in Pottawatomie County

SOLOMON -- A trailer stolen from a location in Solomon has been recovered and a suspect in the incident has been identified.

According to a news release from the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office, deputies on June 21 took a report that a trailer with a headache rack was stolen from a property in the 200 block of Pine Street in Solomon. Deputies and criminal investigators gathered evidence and released photographs of the suspect vehicle.

"On June 26th, of 2020, criminal investigators with the help of the victim and the public, recovered the headache rack at a location in Geary County Kansas and returned the item to the victim. During the course of the investigation, information was gathered that led detectives with the criminal interdiction unit to Riley County and Pottawatomie County Kansas where a suspect(s) in this case were identified," the news release noted.

Criminal interdiction detectives located the stolen trailer in Pottawatomie County on Sunday, according to the news release. The trailer was returned to the victim.

Charges are pending in the case, the news release noted.
