Elaine Lynne Reed, 63, of Salina, died Tuesday (January 31, 2023) at the Smoky Hill Health & Rehab Center in Salina.
She was born on March 28, 1959 in Salina, the daughter of Richard and Charlotte Haymond Glavin. Elaine was raised in the Salina area and graduated from Salina High School and later received an associates degree.
She married John William Reed in 1980 in Salina. They continued to live in Salina where Elaine had been an LPN for several area nursing home, most recently at Pinnacle Park in Salina.
Elaine enjoyed taking care of her patients and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband John of the home in Salina; son Nick Glavin with Billie of Salina; daughters Teri Reed of Salina and Carrie Allen with husband Vince of Hutchinson; two sisters Cindy Lambert with Gary of Abilene, Evonne Primeaux with Donnie of Salina; several grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; son Toby Reed, brother Terry Glavin; and sister Tammy Schubert.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
