SALINA - Dona Gertrude Irwin joined her family in heaven on Oct. 2, 2021. She was born Dec. 12, 1928 in Edmond, Kan., to George and Ruby (Elder) Foss.
She was married to John F. Irwin Jr. on May 14, 1948 and they were able to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary in 2018.
She is remembered by her daughter Jan Woods, Manhattan; three grandchildren, Erin Woods, Manhattan, Lindsay Eddie (Rian) with Leena and Carson, and Tyler Woods (Kyra) with Kyser.
She was preceded in death by her spouse John F. Irwin, Jr.; a daughter, Debbie; one brother; two sisters; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Friday, October 15, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina, with family present from 5-7. The graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 16, at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Salina.
