CONCORDIA – The Cloud County athletic department has announced fan attendance policies in preparation of the potential for fans to attend home CCCC athletic events this spring.
In accordance with Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference, no fans will be allowed into any KJCCC athletic event through Feb. 5. A vote by the KJCCC Presidents is expected to occur during the first week of February to re-examine how to proceed following the Feb. 5 date.
If the KJCCC Presidents vote to allow fans after February 5th, then the first home contest that Cloud County would be able to welcome guests to an athletic event would be the Feb. 8 home volleyball match against Hesston College. In the case that the KJCCC Presidents vote to allow fans, each school will be expected to work with their local health department officials while also limiting attendance to a maximum of 25% of the official capacity of the facility.
“With all the challenges we have faced and will face, we feel the preparation put forth by the college, the KJCCC and the county gives our student-athletes the best opportunity to compete” said Cloud County Athletic Director Matt Bechard.
Cloud County Community College has partnered with Hometown Ticketing to help provide contactless ticket purchasing for events as all ticket sales will be online if fans are able to attend. There will be no walk-up ticket sales for events this year, and information regarding how to purchase tickets to athletic events will be released at a later date once it is known if CCCC will be able to have fans in attendance this year. More sport-specific information can be found below.
Basketball – There will be no general ticket sales to the public for home basketball games this season due to the KJCCC “No Fan” Policy and attendance restrictions that will be in place if the policy is lifted. If Cloud County is able to host fans at home basketball games this season, only Booster Club Members, parents of players, and students will be allowed the opportunity to purchase tickets with limited numbers of each ticket type available and a maximum of two tickets per purchaser. Each ticket type will be for a specific section of the stands in Arley Bryant Gymnasium with all guests in attendance required to adhere to social distancing measures while wearing a mask at all times.
Wrestling – If Cloud County is able to host fans at home wrestling events this season, priority purchasing will be given to Cloud County Booster Club Members, parents of wrestling student-athletes, and students, with general admission sales being made available if any tickets remain. All fans that attend home wrestling events will be required to adhere to social distancing measures that are in place with Arley Bryant Gymnasium and wear a mask at all times.
Volleyball - If Cloud County is able to host fans at home wrestling events this season, priority purchasing will be given to Cloud County Booster Club Members, parents of volleyball student-athletes, and students, with general admission sales being made available if any tickets remain. All fans that attend home wrestling events will be required to adhere to social distancing measures that are in place with Arley Bryant Gymnasium and wear a mask at all times.
The Cloud County athletic department will be streaming as many home athletic events as scheduling permits, with games that are streamed able to be viewed at www.cloudtbirds.com/video/tbirdsportsnetwork.
