USD 305's Summer Food Program for children begins May 30

Salina USD 305 announced today the schedule for its Summer Food Program for children.

The program is set to begin May 30, and both breakfast and lunch is scheduled to be served Monday through Friday. The program will run through June 30, but will be closed June 19.

The free meals are for all children ages one through 18. No signup, eligibility or paperwork is required.

Adults may eat breakfast for $3 per person and lunch for $5 per person.

Lunchtime activities from 12:30-1 p.m., will be provided by the Salina educators. Additionally, there will be book giveaways by the Salina Area United Way.

Breakfast will be served 7:45-8:15 a.m. only at:

Central High School, 650 E. Crawford Street

South High School, 730 E. Magnolia Road

Cottonwood Elementary School, 215 S. Phillips Avenue

Sunset Elementary School, 1510 W. Republic Avenue

Lunch will be served:

Central High School, 650 E. Crawford Street from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

South High School, 730 E. Magnolia Road from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Cottonwood Elementary School, 215 S. Phillips Avenue from noon–1 p.m.

Schilling Elementary School, 3121 Canterbury Drive from noon–1 p.m.

Sunset Elementary School, 1510 W. Republic Avenue from noon–1 p.m.

Salina Fieldhouse, 140 N. Fifth Street from noon–1 p.m.
