CONCORDIA - Cloud County Community College women's basketball sophomore Le'Yanna McGinnis has been named an NJCAA Region VI Second-Team All-Region selection for her performance throughout the 2020-21 basketball season.

The 15-person All-Region VI team consists of a First Team, Second Team, and Honorable-Mention All-Region selections as nine different Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools are represented. With the selection, McGinnis becomes the first Cloud County women's basketball player to earn All-Region VI honors since Scout Frame in 2018-19 and the 25th T-Bird to earn All-Region VI recognition.

Leading the KJCCC in points per game this season at 21.3 points per contest, McGinnis would also rank fourth in rebounding at 9.4 rebounds per contest and fifth in field goal percentage with a 48.0 field goal percentage for the year. The points per game mark would rank sixth among all NJCAA Division I women's basketball players while her season total of 448 points would rank fifth among players at the NJCAA Division I level. Appearing in and starting 21 of CCCC's 22 contests, McGinnis would score a career-best 35 points in a win against Coffeyville on March 17th and grab a career-high 15 rebounds in a home loss to Cowley just four days prior. Recording 10 double-doubles on the year, McGinnis would eclipse the 20-point mark on 13 different occasions and score 30 or more points twice. The 35-point outing is the 15th most in a single-game at Cloud County while the 448 total points this season ranks 30th on the Cloud County single-season charts.
