Starting pay for Corrections Officer Level 1 is $16.00. Cloud County Sheriff’s Department provides very competitive insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield. Vacation days are accrued from the start of employment and are available for use at the 6-month mark of employment. All applicants must complete a 5-day jail academy training course.
Minimum qualifications must include:
· High school Diploma/GED
· KS Driver's License
· No Felonies or Domestic Violence Convictions
· Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening
· Pass O.C., Taser, and Firearm Qualifications
