Timothy Kyle Deneke, 48, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away on April 5,
2023. He was born on June 7, 1974, in Salina, Kansas to Paul and Linda
(Percival) Deneke.
Tim grew up in Beloit, Kansas,, where he
attended St. John’s Catholic School. After graduation, he played
football and attended Garden City Community College, and then attended
Kansas State University. Tim’s favorite thing to do was run a combine,
especially custom cutting every summer.
Tim’s love of John Deere
and farming led him to work for a John Deere dealership. He worked for
23 years at Heritage Tractor. He had a strong work ethic and one of the
things he was proudest of was seeing his employees succeed. He loved his
customers and the relationships he had with them.
His favorite
sale was to Max DaMetz, because he introduced Tim to his daughter Erin.
They were married on August 9, 2003, all because Max bought a John
Deere. She was the love of his life. Tim and Erin had three children,
who were the light of Tim’s life - Grace, Samuel and Emily. His greatest
joy was spending time with his children, whether it be watching them
play sports, taking them fishing, hunting, or teaching them to mow
yards.
Tim had the biggest heart, was always there for anyone
who needed him and could tell a story like no-one else. Those who knew
Tim were lucky and he will be greatly missed.
Tim is survived by
his loving wife, Erin Deneke; his children, Grace, Samuel, Emily; his
parents, Paul and Linda Deneke; siblings, Melissa Liby, Tony Deneke, Amy
(Derrick) Jones; mother in law, Linda DaMetz; brother in law Ryan
(Kristen) DaMetz; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins
and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents,
Glen and Dorothy Percival; paternal grandparents, Pete and Nora Deneke;
and father in law, Max DaMetz.
A
Celebration of Life was April 12 at Grace
United Methodist Church, Olathe.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that donations in Tim’s memory be made to a fund for the children: Bank
of Blue Valley 10101 Woodland Road, Lenexa, KS 66220, in care of Erin
Deneke, and note #8352 on check.
