The newest addition to downtown is celebrating its grand opening today and you're invited!
The event is scheduled for 4-6 p.m. today at The Yard, 138 S. Fourth Street.
Open seven days a week, The Yard is a complete indoor/outdoor baseball and softball training facility that includes five batting cages, five pitching lanes, a college-sized covered infield, HitTrax technology, and a pro shop that offers 20 percent off all Rawlings gear every day.
"We look forward to giving you the grand tour, having you step into a batting cage to try out your swing, and hearing from you how we can best partner together to serve baseball and softball in Salina. Plan to stay for a while; win a prize, check out our pro shop specials, enjoy food for purchase from local food trucks, learn about marketing opportunities, and catch our speakers at 5:30 p.m. We will end the evening with a grand finale, our ribbon cutting at 5:45 p.m.!" The Yard personnel noted in a news release.
