Leonard "Clem" Beikmann, 82, of Clifton, died Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Salina Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 21, 1938 at Clifton, Kansas the son of Albert and Rosa (Ohlde) Beikmann.
Clem grew up in the Clifton area and graduated from Linn High School in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman. After his service, Clem returned to the Clifton area, where he farmed his entire life. He worked in Iowa, building grain bins for three years and he worked construction, building roads and bridges in Kansas. Clem also spent many years working for Clay Center Livestock Sales and Junction City Livestock Sales.
He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Linn American Legion. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jennice Wright.
He is survived by two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral Services: Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Linn, Kansas
Burial: Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Linn, Kansas
Visitation: Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m., with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m. at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, Kansas
Memorials: Clem Beikmann Memorial Fund to be designated later c/o the funeral home.
